Why join our Electoral Roll?
Having a good number on our Electoral Roll helps the church in terms of the way it can represent itself in the composition of the Parochial Church Council (PCC), which leads the life of the local church with the churchwardens and parish priest. It also brings the opportunity of a bigger voice on the Deanery Synod, made up of representatives of West Haringey churches. However, and much more importantly, it brings the opportunity to widen our network of contacts, and the ability to keep our wider family informed and involved in our life. Applications for enrolment can be accepted at any time of the year, apart from a few weeks when the roll closes for its preparation or revision for the Annual Parish Church Meeting (APCM). Timetable for the 2017 Electoral Roll Revision
Sunday 2nd April: Deadline for the receipt of applications for those who wish to be able to vote at the APCM but are not already on the electoral roll. Young people whose 16th birthday falls on or before the APCM may also apply by 2nd April, and will be entered on the roll on their birthday.
Monday 3rd April to Sunday 30th April until immediately after the APCM: The roll is closed for revision. No applications can be accepted during this time.
Sunday 9th April to Sunday 23rd April 2017: The revised electoral roll will be on display in church to enable any errors to be corrected.
Sunday 30th April 2017: APCM. The electoral roll will reopen and new applications may be accepted immediately after the end of the APCM.
